Jaguars ROAR and Blue Angels event
Hello everyone!
I know, I know ... it's been awhile. A LONG while at that. So sorry, but I hope to get everyone "up to speed" with some posts.
Above is a picture of Sydney with the ROAR cheerleaders at the Blue Angels event in town. We had an AMAZING time -- she got to meet and get the autographs of EACH of the Blue Angel pilots. They signed her little autograph book, but they also signed her back brace. A couple of the cheerleaders signed it as well.
T-minus less than 2 weeks until her next surgery. We've started to do all of her "pre-op" appointments ... her pediatrician actually said that this is the healthiest she's seen Sydney during this time of year. Yes, the mild weather does help -- but we hope and pray that she continues to stay healthy for this upcoming surgery.
Until next time ...
Love & Laughs,

Hey Sydney!
My name is Kelley and I was one of the ROAR cheerleaders you met the day you went to visit the Blue Angels. You are a very beautiful and inspiring young lady. Your story has really touched me and all my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I have a tiniest idea of what you are going through. I also have a slight curve to my spine and also have a ruptured disc. Its nothing compared to the surgeries and appointments you go through which i bet must be really hard. But on the lighter side, these surgeries are doing nothing but getting you better! Maybe next year your schedule will fit in with Jr. ROAR and I know we would ALL LOVE to have you as an honorary ROAR member! I'm thinking about you Sydney and hoping you have a lovely Turkey day with your family. I have "bookmarked" your blog on my computer so I'll be checking for new post and hoping your days will be getting sunnier! Have a happy Turkey Day Sydney! Feel better!
Love always,
Kelley
Hey Sydney!!
Heather from the ROAR here stopping by to say hello. It was so wonderful meeting you at the Blue Angels practice a couple of weeks ago. You are such a beautiful little girl who is an inspiration to many people. Like you, I also have Scoliosis, although my largest curvature is only around 20%. When I found out I had it, I was very upset at first. I wondered if I would be able to keep dancing, tumbling, and cheering. However, through the years I have still been able to do all the things I love and I have faith that you will too! Stay strong and know that all of us on the ROAR are thinking about you and praying for you. I hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving. Go Jags!!
Love,
Heather
